Facelift

A facelift (rhytidectomy) can restore an individual's face to its former contours, providing a more toned and firm face and neck and overall fresher, younger appearance. The results of a facelift may be dramatic or subtle, in accord with the patient's needs. A facelift can also be combined with another procedure such as eyelid surgery or a brow lift.

The following facial problems can be corrected with a facelift:

  • Jowls
  • Fat deposits
  • Deep wrinkles and creases in the facial skin
  • Creases between the nose and the corners of the mouth
  • "Marionette lines" that go from the corners of the mouth downward
  • Sagging neckline
  • Soft jawline
  • Overall facial skin sagging

Dr. Arrington uses several facelift techniques, the choice of which will depend in part on the patient's features, the degree of revision planned, and other surgery-related factors.

If you are considering a facelift, please feel free to contact Dr. Arrington to discuss your aesthetic goals. He strives to develop a close doctor-patient relationship that will foster complete understanding, and he wants each patient to be comfortable and informed about any procedure being considered.
